Art Pharmacy was an exhibiting gallery at Westbund Art & Design Fair!
We made our international debut at the prestigious international West Bund Art & Design Fair in Shanghai, China from 9 – 12 November 2023.
Since 2014, the West Bund Art & Design Fair has led the contemporary art scene in Shanghai and made the city a vital stop on the global art calendar, with hundreds of participants involved.
This year, we showcased the talented works of new media artists: Mia Forrest, Juune Lee, Nancy Liang, Jonathan Puc, Si Yi Shen, Mikaela Stafford, Craig-SR, Jessica Ticchio and commissioned art projects by Art Pharmacy.
Art Pharmacy and Sugar Glider Digital were honoured to be included in the 10th anniversary of West Bund Art & Design in 2023. We decided to make our international art fair debut in Shanghai because it is an artistic epicentre in Asia for contemporary art.
China is renowned for its dynamic and experimental art practice, and we seek to connect with this scene of artists, galleries and communities in Shanghai and surrounds. As a digital art gallery, a constant and global exchange of artistic inspiration is central to our mission.
We cannot wait to showcase our artists to a wider audience at West Bund, who are incredible examples of Australia’s diverse, unpredictable digital arts scene. This year, our sister digital art agency, Sugar Glider Digital exhibited artworks from 9 artists, from a variety of backgrounds and compelling practices.
