Ingrid Wilson - IIMWII
Ingrid Wilson (IIMWII) is an interdisciplinary artist currently practicing with paint, print making and photography.
Ingrid's paintings continue a body of work referencing her independent research into weather patterns. Her painting process begins with patterns inspired from site and time specific weather maps and continues using movement simulating weather direction and activity. For her most collection 'From Above', Ingrid has refined her investigations to patterns specific to her current location in the East Coast of Australia.
Ingrid has exhibited across Queensland and New South Wales including Art Pharmacy, The Nest Creative Space and Saint O’Donnell with art in permanent hotel collections including both The Pullman and KAFNU.
Through a combination of painting, print making and photography Ingrid's practice further explores masked
representations of identity. Throughout her collections, the motif of abstracted faces represents both of her identities; Ingrid and IIMWII.
