After completing her Fine Arts Degree, Hannan directed her energies towards the performing arts where she sustained a renowned career as a jazz vocalist and recording artist. She maintained her art practice through one-off wearable art pieces and sculptural work.
She returned to oil painting with a renewed freedom and a relaxed, less analytical approach. This current body of work features her favourite places surrounding her home in the Blue Mountains. She often works alla prima, sometimes plein air, or creates images that are a combination of references and memories gained from her adventures in the wilderness.
Hannan’s yearly exhibitions since 2015 have sold extremely well, with her work represented in private collections internationally.
