Maille Dijon Mustard
In the first series of an ongoing relationship with the ordinary and everyday objects in our shared or isolated lives, I'm encouraging interaction with some of the objects that define me as an individual. These are the things that I might reach for in different times of my day yet do so automatically, without much thought.
"Maille Dijon Mustard" - I remember sitting in the frame of a window opposite a baker on a cobbled street in Paris and tearing chunks from fresh baguettes and dipping it in a very large pot of this mustard while watching the world go buy.
Another quotidian linked to memory. I was 19.
