6 years on, we take a look back at, ‘Playing with Perspectives’ involving 19 artists over a 2 month exhibition within Deloitte’s offices.
In 2016 we were approached by Deloitte to plan, curate and deliver an exhibition series to reinvigorate and energise the reception and meeting spaces of their Sydney office. Developing the narrative Playing with Perspectives, we brought together and installed the works of over 19 artists spanning painting, photography, textiles, sculpture, ceramics, videography, installation and LED design. The outcome was a visual instalment and representation of the ways in which practices of innovation and diversity create new perspectives in artistic culture by uncovering and showcasing unique creative works.
Throughout the process of curating and coordinating Playing with perspectives, the links between our philosophies at Art Pharmacy and those of Deloitte became apparent. Our continuous commitment to facilitating the growth of emerging artists and their individual artistic practice echos Deloitte’s values of enabling a range of differing skills, perspectives and experiences to facilitate innovative business models. A number of the artists created pieces specifically for the Deloitte exhibition. Their intent was to visually capture the purpose of place and diversity of thinking through their artist lens of innovation.
The artists involved in the exhibition included: Genevieve Felix Reynolds, Alex Wright, Valentina Schulte, Julia Gutman, Alexandra English, Sherna Teperson, Claire Nakazawa, Kevina Jo-Smith, Gunjan Aylawadi, Kirsten Duncombe, Sara Roberts, Prue Stent & Honey Long, Caroline McGregor, Elyssa Skyes Smith, Marta Ferracin, Sarah Goffman, Akira and Nathan Lasker, James Dale and Jumboist.
Six years on we are proud to say we have now curated collections for countless businesses all over Australia.
At Art Pharmacy, we continue to pride ourselves on assisting our clients to share their vision through art; from developing a guiding art strategy and connecting them to talented artists to organising installation and maintenance.
We curate corporate art that can communicate brand stories, engage with staff and amplify key points of difference to deliver distinct and dynamic outcomes for clients. With a unified vision of the workplace we aim to activate the space, connect staff to the building, the business and each other, helping create a proud and distinctive workplace.
